Otago community hospice is on the lookout for an exceptional nurse to step into the role of intermediate planning coordinator for our specialist palliative care team in Dunedin, New Zealand. Our intermediate planning coordinator plays a vital role in leading a diverse and multidisciplinary team. Candidates are committed to continuous improvement and strive for excellence across all facets of service delivery, education, and professional development. They must have the ability to support a team towards a common goal of providing exemplary palliative care. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $130,278 per year. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in palliative care, with prior leadership experience in a clinical health department. Qualifications for Intermediate Planning Coordinator: Minimum of five years post-graduate experience in palliative care. Prior experience in areas such as acute medical, oncology, and palliative care. Hold or willing to pursue a Master's Degree in health sciences within 12 months of appointment. Ability to work towards an accepted portfolio (PDRP) following the New Zealand nursing council's framework. Confident in public speaking and education delivery. Moderate to expert level of IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Requirements for Intermediate Planning Coordinator: Ability to work autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary team. Self-motivated, innovative, and empathetic person. Professional credibility with colleagues and other individuals. Commitment to professional credibility and continuous learning. Ability to cope with stress, conflicting demands, and manage a heavy workload. Effective problem-solving, decision-making, time management, organizational, and delegation skills. Skills: Capable of fostering excellence in the provision of palliative care services. Provision of effective clinical leadership. Effective day-to-day management of the allocated clinical team.
