Otago community hospice is on the lookout for an exceptional nurse to step into the role of intermediate planning coordinator for our specialist palliative care team in Dunedin, New Zealand. Our intermediate planning coordinator plays a vital role in leading a diverse and multidisciplinary team. Candidate are committed to continuous improvement and strive for excellence across all facets of service delivery, education and professional development. It must have ability to support a team towards a common goal of providing exemplary palliative care. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range $130,278 per year. Candidate must have a minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in palliative care, with prior leadership experience in a clinical health department.
Qualification for Intermediate planning Coordinator: Candidate are required to have a minimum of five years post- graduate experience in palliative care. Prior experience in such areas as acute medical, oncology and palliative care. Hold or willing to pursue a Master's Degree in health sciences within 12 months of appointment. Ability to work towards an except portfolio (PDRP) following the New Zealand nursing council's framework. Confident in public speaking and education delivery. Moderate to expert level of IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Requirements for Intermediate planning Coordinator: Candidate have ability to work autonomy as well as within a multidisciplinary team. Be self-motivated, innovative and empathic person. Must demonstrate professional credibility with colleagues and others individuals. Be able for professional credibility and continuous learning. Have ability to cope with stress, conflicting demands and manage heavy workload. Exhibit effective problems-solving, decision-making, time management, organizational and delegation skills. Skills: Capable of fostering excellence in the provision of palliative care services. Provision of effective clinical leadership. Effective day to day management of allocated clinical team.
