Intermediate or Senior Landscape ArchitectBotanic is a boutique landscape design-led studio based in Otautahi Christchurch, and we are growing our team in 2025.
We are seeking a creative and self-motivated Landscape Architect with between 3-7 years of experience to hit the ground running on a variety of exciting projects.Some of our current projects include: The Christchurch Performing Arts Precinct, Takapuneke Reserve in Akaroa, Tapoa Naval Point, The Youth Hub, a birdsong sanctuary, recreation and play spaces, school campuses, and a continuous flow of residential gardens including many leading local architects' own gardens.Our design approach is very inclusive, and we regularly co-design with our clients and collaborators.
We also collaborate with local runanga on culturally significant projects and have recently started our journey to deepen our te reo Maori knowledge.Key skills and experience required:A recognised degree in Landscape ArchitectureBetween 3-7 years of professional experience delivering all aspects of projects from concept to completionConfidence with Vectorworks, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative SuiteValues relationships and contributes to our culture and communityA collaborative and empathetic design approachSomeone who loves exploring design in their life and having funKey attributes that will make a standout candidate for Botanic are:Self-motivated, uses intuition, and has a curiosity to learnPlant knowledge and a genuine passion for planting designThe ability to hand sketch concepts and ideas, sometimes in front of clientsWith Botanic, you will enjoy the creative freedoms of a boutique studio, a flexible work-life balance, and the dedicated support of the two co-founders.
