Collaborating closely with our Geotechnical Lead, you will contribute to geotechnical and geology solutions, project management, and the growth of our Geo team.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct geotechnical analysis using the latest methods and software, with a strong understanding of soil mechanics Demonstrate proficiency in liquefaction, lateral spreading, settlement, earth pressure, slope stability, and bearing capacity analysis Leverage your knowledge of NZ design codes and earthquake engineering practices Design foundations for buildings and structures, slope stabilization, ground improvement, earthworks, and retention structures Prepare high-quality technical reports and deliverables Establish and nurture client relationships, contributing to business development efforts Ideal Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) or related field, with 3-8 years of post-graduate experience Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or on track for CPEng In-depth knowledge of soil mechanics and earthquake engineering Familiarity with NZ design standards and strong geotechnical analysis and design skills Excellent communication and report writing abilities Client-focused mindset and collaborative team player Current valid driver's license and visa/residency to work in New Zealand Career Growth Opportunities: As you progress into a senior-level role, you will receive comprehensive training in financial management, programming, quality control, and managing technical inputs from team members and sub-consultants.
You will also gain experience in design management, preparing geotechnical reports for urban and rural roads, highways, land development, civil structures, water and sewer pipelines, and associated facilities.
