We need to have someone local this time round.Are you looking for support/mentoring and training?Do you want to expand your software experience with larger systems?The Company The Back Office Company is a growing bookkeeping services business where the focus is to deliver the most efficient bookkeeping service in New Zealand by ensuring best bookkeeping practice, particularly around systems and processes. Our clients are increasingly medium sized businesses across Auckland. Many of our bookkeepers are contractors and enjoy the fact that they can focus on bookkeeping while leaving all other aspects of running their own business to someone else.  The Back Office Company will supply you with clients, pay you on time and, more importantly, provide excellent training and support so you can focus on what you really enjoy; being the best bookkeeper you can be! The Job We have many clients across a vast variety of industries with bookkeeping needs varying from 5-6 hrs/wk up to 20 hrs/wk so there is a lot of variety in this position.  Most of the time you can work remotely from home with some flexibility around what hours you work, but there would be a requirement to meet with the client onsite, with the manager, while onboarding and you do need to be available to clients during normal office hours.   We do want someone who is based in Auckland for this role so out of Auckland candidates will NOT be considered this time.  The role consists of standard bookkeeping tasks such as AP, AR, bank reconciliations and month end accounting tasks, preparing GST and payroll for some clients.   We have a number of clients who use accounting systems such as MYOB Acumatica (formally MYOB Advanced) and MYOB Exo as they are larger and more complex medium sized organisations. The Person Ideally, we are looking for a bookkeeping contractor with some knowledge and experience with accounting packages such as MYOB Acumatica (formally Advanced) and MYOB Exo or be eager to learn and gain experience in these systems. (We will assist in this area). You will also need to have excellent communication and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people as you will be given plenty of responsibility to deal directly with your clients.  Being a member of a recognised Bookkeeping Association would be an advantage and we do want someone who is keen to continue learning given the fast-changing bookkeeping environment.  There will be a preference towards someone with professional bookkeeping qualifications and a few years' experience.  This an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic bookkeeper with strong initiative to further develop their career as we provide regular training and a large team of other highly experienced bookkeepers. This is a contract position, and we are looking for people who can commit to working with us for a minimum of 20hrs/wk.
