Here, you'll experience variety and challenge in a supportive environment that values work-life balance.Job ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a driven, intermediate level accountant ready to take on a busy workflow and support our team and clients with confidence and professionalism. Key duties include:Handling compliance work for a variety of clients.Assisting Senior Accountants with accounting services.Maintaining relationships with a range of clients.Identifying consulting opportunities and completing them with initiative.Liaising with the IRD and Companies Office as needed.Problem-solving for clients across various accounting needs.Contributing ideas to improve internal processes and workflows.Skills & ExperienceExperience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced public practice accounting environment.Qualifications: CA or CPA certification completed or in progress.Technical Skills: Proficient in Xero, Microsoft Excel, and Word.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients.Attitude: Enthusiastic, curious, willing to learn, and able to maintain professionalism under pressure.Structured career progression: Pathways to senior roles and professional growth.Mentorship: Hands-on guidance from directors and senior accountants to deepen your skills.Diverse Experience: Exposure to various aspects of accounting across a broad client base.Supportive Team Environment: Join a friendly, career-focused team with a commitment to work-life balance and professional development.Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.How to ApplyPlease send your CV and cover letter in PDF format.Start date is 15 January 2025.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years of accounting experience do you have?Do you have experience using Xero?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Have you completed a chartered accountant (CA) qualification?
