Intermediate Accountant

We are looking for an Intermediate level Accountant with 2 years experience to permanently join our supportive and growing team in central Lower Hutt.

Some of the main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparation of Financial Statements Preparation of various periodic Tax Returns Providing Software (Xero and accounting packages) support Advice on tax structuring Interacting with IRD, ACC, banks, lawyers, and other third parties Client contact via phone, email, and in person Some reviewing work Dealing with various client enquiries daily Your profile: 2 years' experience in a chartered accounting environment NZQF Level 5 Diploma or Higher Qualification in accounting Desire to work towards CA or CPA qualification Confident with Xero A comprehensive understanding of New Zealand tax laws and compliance Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven organisational and analytical skills Discretion in dealing with confidential matters Current or previous experience in a chartered accounting practice will be preferred.
This role is a Permanent full-time role: Days Required and Hours per week: Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5pm (at least 37.5 hours per week) Please provide a current CV with your covering letter when applying for this position.
