We operate by land, sea and air, manage over 860,000 emergency calls a year, and are always actively preventing crime and crashes.We're working towards specific goals and targets that highlight our intent to work collaboratively with iwi and communities, other government sectors, and business partners to deliver 'Our Business' and achieve long-term change.Role Expectations:We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:A sound knowledge of intelligence practices and crime science.An ability to work effectively in a team environment, bringing a positive energy.Shows initiative and can work unsupervised (reliable and dependable).Can work effectively and calmly under pressure.Able to work to short deadlines.Comfortable managing multiple demands from a variety of people.Available at short notice and able to work at alternate locations where required.Special Requirements:- New Zealand or Australian citizenship, or a permanent NZ resident.- Hold the NZ Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (NZDIA) or equivalent, or be able to complete NZDIA modules early in employment.- Hold a full driver license or be able to complete early in employment.- Able to obtain and maintain an appropriate national security clearance.Position Levels:- Intelligence Analyst/Senior Intelligence Analyst.- Based at Wellington Central Police Station.- Band G - Intelligence Analyst.- Band I - Senior Intelligence Analyst.
