Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claim Handler to join our team (BASED in Gisborne NZ if you live out of Gisborne you will need to relocate) that is highly organised, detail-oriented, is a real go getter and super customer focussed.
As an Insurance Claims Handler, you will be a crucial part of our claims management team, ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently from initial notification through to final settlement. This position requires someone who has exceptional attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of insurance processes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Processing: Assess, validate, and process insurance claims in line with company policies and legal requirements.
Customer Support: Act as the main point of contact for clients, guiding them through the claims process and ensuring a positive experience.
Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document claims, manage records, and produce timely reports for management review.
Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all claims are processed in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including underwriting and fraud prevention, to ensure a seamless claims process.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role within the insurance industry.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance claims processes, policy interpretation, and industry regulations in New Zealand.
Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using claims management software and MS Office applications.
Customer-Focused: Able to handle sensitive claims with empathy and professionalism.
