Our top-rated Institutional Equities team is looking to fill a rare and exciting position for an Associate Analyst.
The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery of high-quality and insightful research to Craigs Investment Partners' internal and external clients.Based in our Auckland office and reporting to the Head of Institutional Research, the Associate Research Analyst will primarily support the research team with data collection and analysis, database management, and writing research.
This is a great career opportunity for the right candidate to gain exposure within the industry while working alongside our highly regarded Institutional team!About youYou will ideally have:A strong interest in equity capital markets;A strong inner drive to succeed and a willingness to work hard;A relevant tertiary qualification in either Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Mathematics with Statistics (or a combination of these) from a leading University, with postgraduate degrees or CFA providing an edge;One to three years of direct experience in roles that require some or all of a combination of data analysis, equity analysis, or corporate finance with a leading employer in their respective field (Big 4 preferred);Confidently able to source, organize, and interpret data from sources including Stats NZ, RBNZ, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and other sources;Strong financial modeling and database management skills (particularly in Excel);Basic knowledge of valuation techniques (DCF, peer multiples) and basic accounting literacy (Stage 2 University level sufficient);Programming skills (for example: VBA, R, Python) that could be used to help procure additional data and insights on covered companies (desirable);Proven company analysis skills (desirable).About the CompanyCraigs Investment Partners (CIP) is a multi-award-winning investment advisory firm which is one of the largest in New Zealand.
