The role is responsible for spearheading our data led strategic planning and measurement function within the New Zealand Media business. It is a role that requires strong collaboration across client services, merchandise teams and dunnhumby global to ensure best-in-class outputs for clients are unlocked to optimise revenue for both the retailer and CPGs.
Key accountabilities Own the creation of actionable insights across the insights team to create strategic response to brief by creating compelling narratives and presentations, adopting a full 360 media planning process, staying close to the process and offering support to shape the work to ensure it meets the client objectives, utilizing the dh suite of tools. Assess client briefs and offer insights team guidance in gathering observations, to summarize key takeaways, areas of opportunity and focus to identify the strategic insight and create a strategic platform helping to solve the client's challenge that will enable the team to drive revenue growth. Develop and implement best-in-class measurement frameworks that set industry standards for evaluating media effectiveness, ensuring our clients achieve optimal performance and insights. Be a conduit and bridge between Heads of Merchandise and the Supplier Insights Manager to unlock overarching strategies and guide the insight leads to deliver optimal recommendations considering this knowledge. Thorough and deep understanding of client's brands and products through the dunnhumby suite of tools to ensure support is given to the client service team to deliver effective data led media solutions. Develop insight led media training of dh tools for insights team to drive more relevant insights and actions. Building compelling media engagement case studies based on the value we have added for retail clients. Conduct quality reviews of media delivery and measure the value we add for clients and Foodstuffs by supporting the category strategies. Oversee the creation of in-depth seasonal and quarterly trend analysis to identify upselling opportunities, enabling the sales team to maximize revenue potential. Foster a relationship with the Client Services Manager to drive collaboration and best in class. Qualifications & Experience 8+ Years Prior Experience Understanding of media strategy development and planning (including digital media) across multi-channel retail clients (essential) Deep and thorough understanding of the dunnhumby suite of tools and their use within planning and reporting functionality requirements for clients (essential) Experience of collaborating closely with merchandising teams, client services teams and product and platform teams (essential) Strong knowledge of the market and competitor landscape for Media and Customer Experience strategy and delivery. Experience within the NZ FMCG industry (preferred) Excellent Communication skills – written and verbal. Highly numerate with a thirst for delivering actionable insights. Excellent client service skills – the ability to gain trust and confidence. Confidence to present work with conviction from Exec level to Sales and Marketing teams Able to work both vertically and horizontally across the team.
