We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our team as the Community Library Supervisor at Inglewood Library. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations of the library and the Council Service Centre, ensuring high-quality services for our community.
Key Responsibilities: Providing information and reference services for staff and customersMaintaining and managing physical collectionsConnecting with the wider library and Cultural Experiences teamParticipating and supporting the team in the development and delivery of public library programming for all agesDeveloping and sharing knowledge in areas including technology and digitalHandling Council based transactions such as rates, parking, licence and debtor payments, dog registrations, building and LIM applications and property enquiriesResponsible for staff administration activitiesActively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislationMinimum Qualifications and Experience: Library qualifications preferredCustomer service experience and enthusiasm for working with a diverse range of customersFive years' experience working in librariesFull driver's licenceSystems and database experienceAbility to enhance and promote the library and its services to the communityAbility to develop and maintain knowledge of digital resourcesAbility to engage with current and future library trendsAbility to run public programme sessions including pre-school story times through to digital programmingAbility to handle Council service centre responsibilitiesHe aha ai a Taranaki? - Why Taranaki? You can expect to start in this permanent 37 hour per week role with us between $75,675 and $81,560 pro-rata.
