Policy, Planning & Regulation (Government & Defence)Full timeWe are seeking an Infrastructure Planner to join the Infrastructure Consenting Team. The team assists with ensuring the compliance of, renewing and applying for consents for water, wastewater and stormwater services within Far North Waters.The purpose of this role is to provide resource management and infrastructure planning advice and services within the Far North Waters Alliance, assessing the Forward Works Plan (FWP) for legal, building and compliance requirements. To also obtain the authorisations required to ensure planned works have approved consent and legal access approved prior to any works commencing.This position reports to the Team Leader – Infrastructure Consenting.We're looking for someone who brings:A suitable tertiary level qualification with experience in a planning, engineering or environmental science related field.Preferably a member of an appropriate and relevant institution or organisation.Experience working with the Resource Management Act and/or Local Government Act.Practical understanding of Project Management, policy development processes, collaboration and consenting.Knowledge of New Zealand design codes and practices especially FNDC Engineering Standards.You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori.
