Due to the company experiencing continued growth, DNL has created a Lead IT/GIS role based at our head office in Hastings, to assist with our project data management efficiencies for our multi office organisation. The potential candidate will require an in-depth knowledge of IT systems, GIS concepts, excellent analytical, mapping, spatial analysis and problem-solving techniques. Working with staff based internationally, flexibility with work hours may be necessary. The Role: Providing GIS data analysis and GIS applications to our team Maintaining GIS database quality control and quality assurance procedures and policies. Partner with GIS Editors in establishing best practices of data entry to ensure GIS data integrity, system performance and efficiencies and documenting procedures. Provide technical support and training for GIS users on GIS applications, GNSS equipment, and other GIS related technologies. Assist with visual geoprocessing model development. Assist with IT resource management across the organisation. You will have : Ideally hold a bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Information Technology or a related field In-depth knowledge of GIS concepts and analytical techniques Maintain a cooperative attitude and exhibit diplomacy and judgment when working with staff members. Have the legal right to work in New Zealand and/or hold a valid NZ work visa. Highly collaborative spirit and experience working in a team.
