We are looking for an experienced Information Management professional to join our Information Management Team, based in Rangiora, North Canterbury.
You will be a self-starter with strong engagement and communication skills who is able to quickly identify what is needed and have the experience and confidence to get the job done.
About the role This role will support the Information Management Team in delivering excellent support, guidance and advice to Council Staff of the Waimakariri District Council, to build strong information management foundations and skills. The role will actively engage with the business and external stakeholders to strengthen information management practices.
What you will bring A sound understanding of relevant legislation including the Public Records Act 2005 and Privacy Act 2020.
Some knowledge of electronic document and records management systems and physical archives.
Practical application of records and information management that meets the needs of the business.
The ability to manage a diverse workload and deliver high quality outputs.
Proficiency in M365 applications, particularly SharePoint, Teams and O365.
First-rate problem-solving skills and a particular eye for detail.
A genuine interest in working with a customer-centric team.
Previous experience working in Local or Central Government and local knowledge of the Waimakariri District would also be advantageous.
