Te whiwhinga mahi The Opportunity As an Information Analyst within the Data Services team, you will be responsible for analysing and making available health data, information, and analytics from Te Whatu Ora's National Collections, and other data sources.
You will gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the National Collections, and support others to use the data appropriately and accurately.
This role will see you working with clients to identify their needs, preparing data and analysis in response, and developing data visualisation products to communicate your findings across a range of technical and non-technical audiences.

Mou About you You write high quality and re-usable code in R and SQL, or another programming language.
You have a passion for understanding data, and producing insightful and accurate data analytics.
You understand and use best practice for programming and coding and enjoy contributing to making code more efficient.
You work well in a team and enjoy collaborating with others.
You can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and meet client needs with a helpful and positive approach.

Nga pukenga me nga wheako Skills and experience A tertiary qualification in a statistical, mathematical, analytical or other relevant field and / or equivalent experience.
Strong technical ability to work in a programming language, for example R, SQL, Python, or others.
Previous experience working with data or in an analytically focused role or setting.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract and manipulate data.
Ability to use data to generate evidence and insights, including extracting, manipulating, and analysing data.
Ability to understand and convey the intricacies, strengths, and limitations of large datasets.
Ability to gather requirements from clients and stakeholders, communicate between technical and non-technical people, and extract and analyse data to suit a variety of audiences.
