WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Industrial Engineer provides support, direction and process optimisation guidance while acting as a technical resource for Christchurch Engine Centre (CHCEC) to introduce and support new technologies and processes. Key tasks/responsibilities include:
Site focal for Technology Insertion and Transformation projects (including on-going support), and subject matter expert (SME) for Utilization / OEE.
Function as a technical resource to locally introduce and support new technologies and processes in line with Technology/Operational Excellence/CORE Councils.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
Design compliant tooling for technology system integration into CHCEC processes.
Take an active role in the Continuous Improvement (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) program.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE YOU MUST HAVE
NZ LAME or Higher Level Diploma in a relevant Management or Engineering Field
Experience in Process Modelling, data mining, analysis & various computer software administrative abilities.
Project management experience.
Understanding of capital acquisition process – knowledge or background.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE WE PREFER
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Management or Engineering Field.
Ability to organize many details into a broad view of the total organization.
Experience in lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement.
