Role: Industrial Engineer
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Salary: $80,000-95,000 NZD
Contract: Permanent full-time, 40 hrs per week
Days Required: Monday - Friday
We are looking for a pro-active and passionate Industrial Engineer to join our New Zealand team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising simulation models to improve efficiency for network and DC design projects. Additionally, you will be supporting product management to ensure controlled and effective integration into the business.
Roles and responsibilities:

Support internal project teams with simulation model development and validation.
Develop and maintain a well-documented internal model library used to build project models.
Ensure project models follow best practices and update the internal library with new learnings.
Assist in defining and controlling the development roadmap.
Produce high-quality, timely, and accurate work.
Accurate recording of time spent on clients, projects, and tasks to enable correct invoicing and profitability analysis.
Comply with TMX and client safety standards in all areas.
Effectively manages operational risks across projects, escalating risks where necessary.
Apply industry best practices and share initiatives to maximise profitability and future work for TMX.
Develop and maintain internal systems and tools, identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance TMX's service offering and capabilities.
Ensure simulation models meet technical and commercial requirements.
Foster a positive, proactive team culture through effective communication.
Contribute to a high-performance team ethos and continuous improvement.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Industrial Engineering or related field
3+ years programming experience in simulation or equivalent (Simulation, PLC, emulation).
Experience in building and developing simulation models.
Supply chain industry experience is highly beneficial.
Product management experience is beneficial but not required.
Highly organised with effective time management and self-discipline.
Advanced numeracy and literacy skills.
Ability to create professional materials that effectively communicate complex messages to clients.
