Put your expertise to use maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems as an Industrial Electrician in Whakatu, Hawke's Bay for New Zealand's largest integrated apple grower.
What you'll be doing As a crucial part of the maintenance engineering team, you will handle the upkeep and repair of our packhouse's electrical systems, equipment, and components.
Based at the Whakatu workshop, you will coordinate with management, engineers, and apprentices across our two large production sites.
Recent investments in new pack house robotics and machinery make this an exciting time to join our team.
Your day-to-day tasks may include: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Work on a packhouse dayshift and support the engineering team with preventive maintenance and any breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities.
What you'll bring: Trade certification as an Electrician according to NZQA standards.
Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician in a similar environment.
Proficient in troubleshooting and fixing PLC coding issues.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
