Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality cooked food and efficient customer service in Indian cuisine.We have a full-time vacancy for a minimum of 30 hours a week at a pay rate starting from $30.00 for a Restaurant Manager and Indian Chef. Overtime will be paid at the base pay rate.Successful candidates must have:3 years' experience in a similar role and/or relevant qualification.Preferably own transport as working late and on weekends/public holidays will be required.Restaurant Manager job duties will include:Consulting chefs in planning and updating menus.Organizing, planning, and executing special functions.Preparing staff rosters and induction training for new staff.Ensuring that the customers receive good and prompt service.Dealing with customer complaints and queries.Ensuring dining and restaurant facilities comply with health and safety regulations and are clean and tidy at all times.Making reservations and taking food orders/payments.Executing marketing and the promotion of the business.Indian Chef job duties will include:Preparation and presentation of selected food items.Should be able to cook traditional Indian cuisines independently.Able to make good estimations of raw materials required and the cost involved.Ordering requests for purchasing.Planning and preparing menus and helping in estimating costs.Keeping the food cost under control.Discussing with the Restaurant Manager/owner improvements required for the growth of the business.Preserving food and freezing them as required.Following maintenance and health and safety issues and meeting hygiene standards.Delegating and supervising kitchen staff.Training and mentoring junior staff.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency/citizenship or a valid NZ work visa.Summary of role requirements:Flexible hours available.2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role.Working rights required for this role.Expected start date for role: 10 September 2024.Expected salary: $30 - $32 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
