We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a NZ-owned freight forwarder based in Auckland as an Import Operations Specialist for Australian imports handled from NZ. This junior to intermediate role offers a fantastic chance to grow and develop in a supportive environment.

Fantastic south / east location, 2 days WFH after training period. Flexible later start time.

What's Involved: Review shipping docs and requesting amendments as required including documents for clearance.Pro-actively escalate and assist in solving customer complaints, supplier failures and overseas agent issues.Cross checking data to ensure accurate input.Sending relevant details to the nominated broker for clearance.Completing milestones within KPI's and managing milestone exceptions.Billing customs GST/ Duty charges and monitoring payment prior to release.Checking all holds and releases are clear prior to cargo arrival.Requesting relevant original documents and releases.Booking cartage and monitoring delivery through to door.Entering costing and revenue.Updating relevant internal and external parties of any changes to the shipment outside of the standard KPI's. What You Will Need:Proven experience in import operations - Australian experience advantageous but not essential.Minimum of two years Cargowise experience.The ability to adapt to change, a clear communicator and someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
