About the role An exciting opportunity for an Import & Export Operator to join our growing team! This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end shipping operation for our customers while upholding DP World's reputation and brand as market leading logistics service provider. The Import/Export Operator will manage day-to-day operations for key customers, from the initial booking, processing shipments, liaising with transport through to invoicing and reporting.  This role will focus on both air and sea, with DG certification or experience advantageous. The role will work to DP World standards and processes, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for the DP World and the customer. The key roles and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Book and manage all shipments international for the Customer with appointed service providers Maintain and update records of all shipments and provide activity reporting and key dates to customer Work closely with Procurement to ensure that best rates are obtained for use by the Customer and meet requirements Complete Freight bookings for all shipments  Creation of draft, final and amendments of bill of lading for all bookings (exports) Lodging EDNs as required for export Lodge PRA's if required by Customer Input and update all booking and shipment details into DPWAGF's system Cargowise  Manage and make any booking amendments  Manage the creation of required export documentation for the customer. Documents include, Bill of lading, Certificates of origin Monitor Customs Clearance and other regulatory releases  Manage any routing amendments, Change of Delivery, Splitting Bill of Lading Provide the highest level of customer service to the Customer by be responsive, cooperative, and knowledgeable with regards to the Customers export business and the global export market Demonstrate a problem-solving approach and escalate issues as soon as they become apparent  About you The successful candidate will possess the following: Industry specific qualifications (RACA/IATA/FIATA) Industry training in freight forwarding (Supply Chain/DG Management) 2-4 years' experience in import/export operations preferred  1-2 years in customer facing roles  Excellent understanding of the supply chain from a New Zealand outlook  Strong customer service skills and attention to detail  Experience managing customer shipments – import and export.  Demonstrated ability to work and solution issues independently Cargowise (Wise-Tech) experience and knowledge advantageous.  Efficiency in day-to-day operations, with a specific focus on task driven milestones and deadlines Knowledge of the container logistics value chain Supporting equality DP World is committed to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
