We admit and transport adult and paediatric patients within Hawke's Bay and to tertiary referral centres, offering opportunities for rotary wing and road transfers amidst the stunning landscape.The Unit holds accreditation as a C12 unit under the CICM training program, with endorsements for General, Rural, and Paediatric training. We offer supportive working conditions round the clock, prioritizing continuous learning and professional development through multidisciplinary teaching and simulation training.We have supported CICM candidates through Part 1 and Part 2 examinations as well as examinations in other disciplines. A number of trainees have completed their CICM research project requirement during their time with us. In addition, non-training registrars have completed research projects that have been published in peer-reviewed journals.
