The focus is on handling complaints against government agencies, undertaking investigations and inspections, and encouraging good administration. Our Information Communications Technology (ICT) Team is dynamic, busy, and committed to developing and delivering purpose built systems and processes to support the achievement of the Chief Ombudsman's strategic intentions.
Our ICT team has been crucial to our success, providing integrated digital and technical solutions to enable the Ombudsman to reach his strategic objectives and seek continuous improvement.

Mo te turanga - About the roleThe ICT Systems Support Analyst is responsible for providing advice and support to our staff using our current business systems and applications in the communications, information, and technology areas. You will be working alongside a friendly and helpful ICT team and our service providers to ensure all of our systems and applications are operating optimally, and our staff are enabled by the services we provide.
To be successful in this role you will have:
At least 1 - 2 years of experience in providing ICT support within a Windows environmentExperience supporting a wide range of applicationsWorking knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks, such as ITILPrevious experience as a team member in ICT projects and/or improvement initiativesExperience working within Government or organisations with a strong focus on security would be beneficialPrevious experience in a customer service roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to plan, effectively prioritise, and execute work to meet agreed deadlinesDemonstrates resilience, has the ability to adapt to change, and meets challenges with drive and enthusiasmTertiary qualification in Information Systems would be an advantageBecoming part of an exceptional team in a dynamic organisation, where the work is challenging and rewarding. Depending on skills and experience the salary is expected to be between $64,550 to $84,721 with $80,687 being the mid-point.
