Working together for a better environment across our region A supportive and social work environment across the organisation The role As our Integrated Catchment Programme Lead, you will be at the forefront of developing Integrated Catchment Management (ICM) here at Horizons.
ICM recognises the interconnectedness of land, water, plants, animals, and people, aiming to make the best possible contributions to local outcomes from the mountains to the sea.
This program aims to ensure catchments are managed holistically to support long-term ecological health, community well-being, and economic viability.Your role involves coordinating a diverse range of projects to determine how ICM will be effectively delivered at Horizons.
The immediate focus is on establishing processes, setting the stage for successful implementation into the future.
Key responsibilities include: Defining Objectives: Reach consensus on specific objectives and operating principles for ICM.
Alignment: Coordinate with other initiatives, particularly regarding flood control and drainage challenges.
Investment Planning: Clearly define investments that can be delivered effectively and efficiently.
Identifying Barriers and Enablers: Target critical factors that facilitate or hinder change, including tools and information needs.
Building Support: Foster internal and external engagement to identify opportunities and promote the initiative.
About you We seek an enthusiastic and experienced leader with solid experience in environmental sustainability and community engagement.
Your previous experience equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive meaningful change.
You thrive in collaborative environments and excel at building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.Your excellent communication abilities allow you to convey complex concepts clearly, inspiring action for the environment.
With a strategic mindset and robust project management skills, you ensure initiatives are delivered from conception to completion, aligning with community needs and regulatory standards.
Certification in either PMP, Prince 2 or equivalent is advantageous.
