We are seeking a director of religious studies (DRS) for our lovely school. This is a teaching position, so please state your level preference in your covering letter.
We are looking for a teacher/ kaiako who:
Lives, learns and loves the Gospel teachings of Jesus and brings these to life authentically through our school's Gospel values of inclusion, courtesy, integrity, and courage.
Will lead the continued implementation of the new religious education curriculum To Tatou Whakapono.
Will work collaboratively as a member of the leadership team, Catholic Parish of St Peter's Cambridge, wider DRS community, and Hamilton Diocese.
Has up-to-date curriculum and pedagogical knowledge, alongside demonstrated effective classroom practice.
As the DRS, you would be expected to give guidance and provide effective leadership in religious education and observances throughout the school.
This is a special character (tagged) position; therefore, a willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment.
