Hydraulic Service Technician/Fitter

Description Are you mechanically minded?Want to work on the latest technology?Do you enjoy interacting with both team members and customers?Due to high demand in the industry, we are looking to employ a Hydraulic Technician or Hydraulic Fitter.
This is a key role supporting our growing customer base in the in the North Island.
We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team.
About the role This role is a mixture of workshop and field-based work with the opportunity to carry out various tasks from home.
The role is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of hydraulic systems, carrying out repairs to components both on-site and in our workshop, completing routine inspections and ensuring clients' needs are met to a high standard.
Examples of tasks include: Routine on-site reliability checksScoping of jobs and project workTesting and faulting finding equipmentTalking with customers/operators to understand the operation of equipmentRepairs to general hydraulic and mechanical components - Pumps, cylinders, gearboxesUndertaking HSE tasks prior to and during work being undertakenWe operate in the industrial and marine sectors, focusing primarily on timber mills, manufacturing plants, heavy engineering workshops, and marine vessels.
In addition to your hydraulic skills, having knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems would be highly beneficial.
This position also comes with a company vehicle, laptop, phone, and general specialised tooling provided.
About you You're likely a seasoned professional whose mechanically experienced/minded, have worked on heavy machinery in a similar role with agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, heavy diesel equipment, etc.
