Hydraulic Sales And Service Technician

Details of the offer

How far do you want your career to go?

Good practical all-rounder with excellent people skills

Want to be independent in your role and take charge of your day?

Our client Total Hydraulic Solutions Ltd, (Hydraulink) is under pressure, and it is all good! With teams between Turangi to Whakatane, and everything in between, they are proud to be locally owned and operated, have a strong brand, and a team driven to succeed. Their continued strong performance in this tough market means they need another permanent Hydraulic Sales Service Technician (HSST) to join their dynamic team based in Rotorua. Providing high-quality hose repair service to their customers across the region, the Hydraulic Sales and Service Technician will be the main contact person and trouble-shooter for their customers, the name and the face of the Company.

This is not a routine workshop-based job; you'll be out on the road in a mobile workshop with heaps of autonomy. You will get loads of variety – all sorts of customers, all sorts of problems, all sorts of locations, and all sorts of activities. One minute you could be repairing a hydraulic system problem in the forest, the next you could be hunting out new business opportunities in the region. Planning and scheduling visits, getting out there amongst customers and potential customers, and driving business growth through building strong relationships with customers are key components to this role.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Personable, a people person with the ability to relate well to others

Strong mechanical skill set

Excellent hydraulic and mechanical engineering trouble-shooting skills

Passionate about providing excellent customer service

Meticulous with an eye for detail

Excellent time management capabilities

Fluency in English (read, write, speak)

The ability to self-manage and self-motivate

Business development and networking skills

A willingness and flexibility to take on tasks and responsibilities outside the square

Ability to think outside the box, with the willingness to take on additional tasks and duties

Physical fitness

Able and willing to undertake on-call work

If you're someone with a mechanical aptitude, a get-it-done attitude, who likes the challenge of being busy, has a passion for providing exceptional customer service, an eye for detail, and strong time management skills, then we want to hear from you. A good working knowledge of hydraulics plus sound diagnostic skills would be advantageous but not essential. Rostered on-call work is part of the role and a full and clean Class 1 driver's licence is a must.

Ideally, we would like someone with experience diagnostic skills in hydraulics. However, if you feel your skill set may be what we are looking for, we would like to talk to you about your transferable skill set. Training for the successful applicant will be provided via online training modules and on-site. Undergoing all training aspects will be an employment requirement.

In return we offer you:

Locally owned, backed by a strong brand and team driven to succeed

Supportive, friendly, fun working environment

Variety, with no two days the same

Competitive remuneration package

A pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening plus criminal record check will be part of the recruitment process.

Candidate information will be reviewed as received and will be treated confidentially should you wish to express your interest. For any additional information, please contact Kirsten on 027 275 5910 or ******
