Aquaheat Facility Services, based in Christchurch is recruiting for a HVAC Mechanical Service Technician.
Responsibilities for the role include: Efficiently, effectively and safely carry out all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics, chiller repairs, chiller maintenance and installation works relating to HVAC Mechanical (air conditioning and refrigeration)Expedite all works in a professional and tradesman like manner to a level of quality that meets current accepted commercial/ industry standardsThis role entails working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver high quality HVAC Mechanical trade serviceThe HVAC Mechanical Service Technician position therefore requires an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours and the ability to manage their own time in order to meet deadlinesThe HVAC Mechanical Service Technician is further responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for self, colleagues, customers, and the general publicThis position will require availability for afterhours work and emergency call support on a rotating basis. To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience: NZ Qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration and Electrical5 years post trade experienceValid, unrestricted manual NZ Drivers LicenceInstallation and maintenance of HVAC and Mechanical PlantCommercial and industrial installation and maintenanceExperience with building services mechanical systemsExperience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systemsExperience in responding to and satisfying customer requestsExperience with using hand or power equipmentExperience working within Health & Safety guidelines Ideally, you will have broad HVAC maintenance experience with the ability to prioritise and manage your work activities. Whilst not essential, the ability to work with and train apprentices and trade assistants will be highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine belief in providing excellent customer service, is highly motivated with a "can do" attitude. The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience in the trade, with a proven track record in fault finding and troubleshooting.
