Coastal Medical Limited (CML) is a leading healthcare provider in Taranaki, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
CML have 5 established sites across Taranaki with growth aspirations actively being pursued, employing approximately 70 staff.
The HR Manager will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities.
As the sole HR Professional in our growing organisation the areas of responsibility will include talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development, compliance, and union liaison.
This is a hands-on role that requires rolling up one's sleeves and working at all levels of the organization during this period of change and growth.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Chief Executive in developing and implementing best-practice HR programs Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Monitor organisational team culture and wellbeing and make recommendations around opportunities to increase team culture and engagement Compiling and implementing policies and processes in line with organizational requirements.
Oversee full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding and retention initiatives.
Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management programs.
Build positive relationships and partner with union representatives.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Champion learning and development programs to upskill the workforce.
Cultivate an inclusive culture that embraces diversity and Te Ao Maori principles.
Advise managers and leadership on HR-related matters.
Identify opportunities to improve HR policies, processes, and systems.
Compile and maintain accurate and up to date employee files and related information Work in collaboration with department managers to ensure that processes and policies are understood and followed Experience and Attributes: Strong knowledge of NZ employment law and experience applying it to policy, advice, recruitment, and performance management.
Understanding of Te Reo Maori and Maori cultural values Experience in supporting organisational change initiatives, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge.
Self-motivated and able to work productively during periods of change with little supervision.
Ethical and employee-orientated approach to HR Management.
Ability to analyse data and make strategic recommendations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
