A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an HR Business Partner to join an exciting project helping rebuild parts of New Zealand affected by weather events. Reporting into the HR Manager in Auckland, you will work in Christchurch and provide proactive HR support to a diverse group of stakeholders located in Canterbury. You will partner closely with leaders to provide support across the full HR gambit, which will see you be involved with performance management, engagement, and employee relations. As well as day-to-day HR support, you will also be involved in nationwide HR projects where you will work closely with the wider HR team.
Working with a dynamic operational workforce, your ability to influence will be critical to your success. Taking leaders and managers along the HR best practice journey, you will have extensive knowledge of NZ employment legislation. You will bring an adaptive and proactive style to build exceptional relationships and be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, and your pragmatic approach will be appreciated, as well your ability to work in the grey.
To be successful in this role you will ideally bring:
At least four years working in an HR Generalist/BP position
Experience within the construction sector is an added benefit
Proven experience partnering with leaders to build capability and best practice knowledge
Ability to work autonomously and build relationships at all levels
Adaptability and resilience to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
