If you are an HR graduate or someone with a few years' experience looking to further develop and round out your HR expertise, then this will be a great role for you. Our client, Progressive Meats is Hawkes Bay's most long-standing privately owned meat processing company. Their people sit at the very heart of their business and as HR Support you will play a key part in their people processes. This is a hands-on generalist HR administrative and operational support role, which will see you be a key point of contact for managers providing effective HR support and guidance across all aspects of the employee cycle, ranging from recruitment and onboarding through to disciplinary matters. You will also provide admin support for the ACC accredited employer programme of work and play a key part in driving the health and safety accountabilities. Working closely with the HR Lead, you will also help with the development and enhancement of processes and systems to drive efficiencies across the HR admin function. This is a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same; you will need to be adaptable and be willing to get stuck in. You will have to love the detail here, ensuring that employee data is captured accurately and transferred through the correct systems. We are open-minded to the level of HR experience you may have. You may be a recent HR graduate who can demonstrate initiative and an eagerness to learn, or you may be a current HR practitioner looking for a change. An affinity to the primary industry will be a real bonus. You must have the innate capability to grasp new technical and business concepts and be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
