The Role
Reporting to the CEO and working in a small team of 2;
Support managers with performance management, conflict resolution, and mediation processes. Lead and facilitate workplace investigations and make recommendations for corrective actions. Maintain strong relationships with employees and unions (if applicable), ensuring open lines of communication. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job advertising, interviewing, and onboarding. Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and identify potential candidates. Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs. Coordinate pre-employment checks and contracts. Enhance the candidate experience through efficient and positive hiring processes. Your Profile 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employment relations and talent acquisition. Knowledge of New Zealand employment law and HR best practices. Proven track record in resolving employee relations issues and managing recruitment cycles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Excellent problem-solving abilities, especially in handling complex employment issues. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Adaptable and open to change in a fast-paced environment. Strong ethical standards, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Team-oriented, with a positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to a supportive work culture.
