The Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Manager to develop and lead the Southland Hub sales strategy by increasing sales, margins, and overall profitability.
This role will see you lead our sales team across our Invercargill, Gore, Winton, and Te Anau branches.
You will work directly with the Hub Manager and senior management team to achieve strategy and goals that encompass the full range of PlaceMakers products and customer segments.
Seek sales opportunities and ensure sales objectives are achieved.
Provide technical assistance and senior sales support to the branch network to maximise key accounts.
Manage large sales-related projects to assist sales teams in achieving goals.
Performance planning and coaching to maximise capability within the team.
Responsibilities: Develop the Hub sales strategy, priorities, and plans that align with the overall Southland Hub Regional Sales strategy and support the Business Unit and Divisional strategies and plans.Develop a high-performing sales team to continue to drive sales.Provide technical assistance and senior sales support to the branch network to maximise our business opportunities with customers.Collaborate with the Sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies to support our customers with their projects and achieve regional sales targets.Oversee large sales-related projects to assist sales teams in achieving goals.Performance planning and coaching to maximise capability within the team.Analyse sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
About you: A proven track record in successful business development and sales management, including function leadership and sales budget control.
Exceptionally high standards of relationship building, communication, and people skills.
Collaborative and people-oriented, highly skilled at partnering with organisational functions to achieve outcomes.
Action-oriented to deliver on business development strategies and plans.
Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy.
High level of financial and business acumen.
Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the building trade industry.
