Presco Hire New Plymouth are looking for a self-motivated HT Class 4+ delivery driver with yard duties based in New Plymouth, Taranaki.
This position is the face of Presco Hire to our clients when delivering to sites. You will be working directly with our friendly, dedicated team to create a seamless logistics experience for our clients. You must have a good understanding of safe delivery of heavy machinery in construction site type conditions.

You will have:
Class 4 or above licence
Experience in transport and freighting
A naturally friendly disposition
Attention to quality, health & safety
Mechanical familiarity for minor equipment repairs and services
A positive outlook and personality
Confidence loading and unloading equipment in some challenging circumstances
This position would suit a well-organized person who can work unsupervised but also be able to work as part of a larger close-knit team. Practicality is a must, as is mechanical familiarity, a positive attitude, and a heavy transport license. You should be keen to work overtime when needed. You will be able to adhere to quality systems and fleet management with a focus on customer service. You will need to prioritize workflow, be able to problem-solve, and enjoy a variety of work with no two days the same. The transport side of the role is only part of the job. When back in the yard, other duties will be required, including wash bay, equipment servicing, and customer service. Our team members are trained in all these duties and can drop into any role depending on demands. Customer service includes greeting customers, asking about their needs, performing how-to-use demos, communicating with the branch coordinator, and completing any necessary paperwork.
This is a full-time Mon-Fri position and remuneration is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
