Join our client, a New Zealand owned and operated, world-class leader in aerosol, chemical, and coating manufacturing, based in scenic Rotorua, Bay of Plenty.About the Role:Reporting to the Engineering & Compliance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing compliance projects, maintaining dossier records, and ensuring alignment with key regulations for this compliance managed manufacturer of 'niche market' coatings, chemicals and aerosol products.Help drive safety excellence at their Major Hazard Facility, ensuring risks are minimized and compliance is at the forefront of operations. If you're passionate about HSNO regulations and safety management, this is the role for you!Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage compliance projects, ensuring alignment with relevant HSNO regulations and industry standardsMaintain and update the Dossier library, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-dateAssist in managing MHF Health and Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policyIdentify and address Health & Safety/Compliance deficiencies, prioritizing remedial actionsSupport environmental monitoring initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in safety and compliance measuresApply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, identify solutions, and enhance operational safetyCommunicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and sensitive guidance on compliance mattersEnsure accurate, detailed documentation is maintained, with a high level of precision and attention to detailDemonstrate adaptability and flexibility in managing change and meeting the evolving needs of the businessWork independently with strong time management, organisational, and project management skills to meet deadlines and compliance objectivesBuild and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and external clients to ensure seamless complianceMaintain confidentiality and perform well under pressure, ensuring the smooth operation of HSNO and safety-related tasksKey Requirements:Proven HSNO project and compliance experienceA tertiary qualification in chemical/mechanical engineeringUnderstanding and working knowledge of Hazardous Substances Regulations, Major Hazard Facilities and Health and Safety at Work Act 2015Environmental monitoring experience would be advantageousStrong verbal and written communication to collaborate with stakeholders, with exceptional attention to detail, time management and presentation skillsStrong analytical skills to resolve safety issues, with the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and environmentsProficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, especially ExcelExperience using Vault and CIMS for efficient document control, compliance tracking, and data managementIn return for your experience and expertise, on offer is an opportunity to work in a very flexible and supportive working environment that will cater to, and get to know you.
