We have projects in Wellington, Auckland, Manawatu, and the Bay of Plenty.About the roleThis position is responsible for assisting the Senior Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Advisor with the delivery of health and safety objectives in an interesting and effective way, championing behaviour change initiatives and continuous improvement with a focus on individuals taking responsibility for the safety of themselves and their team. Day to day duties will include:Assisting with implementation of the HSE Systems to ensure compliance and support the projectAssisting with implementation and management of LTM's HSE Policies and procedures on siteCompliance with WorkSafe and RegulationsEnsuring Hazard and Risk management system is followed by all site;Ensuring subcontractors provide relevant HSE documentation prior commencing workReview, if necessary, subcontractor's documentation as conditions change on site;Conducting site inspectionsConducting, review and assisting risk assessmentsRunning site inductions, toolbox, safety meetingsReview and approve permitsOrdering safety equipmentHammerTech profile managementBuild strong working relationships with everyone on sitesMajor operations involvement (safety spotter), e.g. cranage and road closuresSupervising traffic management of loading zones and site vehicle movementsAny other reasonable task requestedNote: this is a 12 month fixed term role, in keeping with the programme commitments.About youUnderstanding of Health and Safety at Works Act 2015 RegulationsExperience in an HSE role and/or another role in the construction industry, preferredAbility to take ownership of onsite HSE systems and help to develop a positive workplace culturePlanning skills to work in fast-paced environmentsNZ citizen, permanent resident or hold NZ work visaWhat you can expect - we offerPositive and supportive work cultureGreat social club activities and eventsPotential for ongoing project workYour application will include the following questions: Do you hold any current certifications or qualifications?Please provide details of any relevant qualifications that you hold.Please provide your salary expectations:Do you have a current, valid New Zealand Driver's licence?
