We have continued to build our presence in the market and now seek a strong HR generalist to join us to support our existing client base and new client requirements. Our 15 strong team are made up of generalists as well as specialist roles such as Health & Safety; Psychologists; ER and a strong dedicated Recruitment team (including Executive recruitment).
Job Description After more than eight years, one of our valued team members is moving on, and we're looking for someone special to step into her shoes. In this position, you'll excel at building strong connections with businesses quickly, helping them achieve both their short-term and long-term objectives. You'll provide valuable advice, guidance, and support to managers and employees that enhances their business operations, strengthens their culture, and improves their bottom line.
Your responsibilities will include offering expert employee relations and human resources advice to resolve employment relationship issues, contributing to HR policy development, and occasionally leading or participating in projects. This role involves a combination of regular weekly HR support for our ongoing clients and one-off project work.
We also partner with top HRIS and recruitment system providers, so being tech-savvy and comfortable with systems is a significant advantage for us.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least five years HR advisory/BP experience across a range of generalist HR areas including recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management, remuneration and reward, and of course employment relations Knowledge of New Zealand employment related legislation, HR theory and practice, and demonstrated experience in applying both Sound analytical and project management skills A systems 'bent' and be technically savvy The ability to establish credibility and confidence with ease A high level of professionalism, attention to detail and a down-to-earth approach Loads of initiative and be self-managing and super responsive to client requests A strong desire to deliver best practice to a diverse client base Composure, flexibility and a sense of humour Additional Information This role is offered on a contract for service basis. Hours will be flexible to fit around your other commitments. The package includes a competitive hourly rate and a fantastic team to work with.
