This involves partnering closely with Operations, serving as the HR representative on the ground. You will collaborate with other key partners, to ensure comprehensive support for our overall business operations.This includes driving HR policies and initiatives that support Nexans' objectives, while fostering strong partnerships across the organisation. You will provide expert guidance to management and employees, ensuring the HR function adds value to the New Zealand, and wider global business. Some of your key responsibilities will include:Collaborating with the General Manager HR and broader HR team to develop and implement strategic HR initiativesEnhancing workplace relationships to improve morale, productivity, and retentionLeading or supporting EBA negotiations, including liaison with union officials and preparation of required documentationKeep up to date with employment legislation and provide timely advice to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risksAnalyse HR metrics and data to inform decision making and report on the effectiveness of HR programs and initiativesPromote and contribute to a safe workplace by actively supporting the Nexans health and safety initiativesProactively identify opportunities for organisational change and support the business in navigating those changes effectivelyOur Ideal HR PartnerA true HR generalist with proven experience in a similar positionSkilled in leading and supporting organisational change, with the ability to influence and gain buy inStrong communication skills, able to liaise professionally across all levels and channelsExperienced in EBA negotiations, including interpreting legislation, liaising with unions, and contributing to strategiesStrong knowledge of NZ employment law, ensuring compliance through timely consultation and implementationExpertise in resolving ER, IR, and performance management issues, including managing disciplinary actions and offering practical, risk minimising solutionsTeam player, adaptable to business needs, and able to contribute to broader HR goalsActs with integrity and takes responsibilityProactive in achieving objectivesCustomer focused and a keen problem solverIf you're passionate about HR, relationship building, and contributing to a collaborative team environment, we encourage you to apply now via the link.
