They are Canterbury's oldest and most trusted towing company and have been servicing the South Island for over 99 years. More recently expanded into Wellington which now extends their reach and range of services into the North Island and this ongoing growth has created the need for a newly created HR Health & Safety Manager role. This is a key appointment for the company and therefore will report to the General Manager. Parks are industry leaders who expect their trajectory for ongoing growth to continue into the future.
Role DescriptionEmbed a strong Health and Safety culture and systems and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standardsLead best practice HR services across the businessContinuous improvement and delivery of Health and Safety initiatives and standardsDeliver and implement HR and Organisational Development strategiesBe a trusted advisor to the GM, SLT and wider Parks workforceBuild and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholdersRecruit, train and coach employees to enhance their growth, upskilling and success in their rolesPeriodic travel to Wellington BranchRole RequirementsRelevant tertiary qualifications in HR, certifications in Health & Safety and familiar with accreditation processWell versed in promoting and embedding company wide Health & Safety cultureAble to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of a businessSolid experience leading and developing HR best practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPragmatic and solutions focussedAt Parks, they pride themselves on looking after their people, providing a good work culture and competitive remuneration.
