They are Canterbury's oldest and most trusted towing company and have been servicing the South Island for over 99 years. More recently expanded into Wellington which now extends their reach and range of services into the North Island and this ongoing growth has created the need for a newly created HR Health & Safety Manager role. This is a key appointment for the company and therefore will report to the General Manager. Parks are industry leaders who expect their trajectory for ongoing growth to continue into the future.
Role Description Embed a strong Health and Safety culture and systems and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards Lead best practice HR services across the business Continuous improvement and delivery of Health and Safety initiatives and standards Deliver and implement HR and Organisational Development strategies Be a trusted advisor to the GM, SLT and wider Parks workforce Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders Recruit, train and coach employees to enhance their growth, upskilling and success in their roles Periodic travel to Wellington Branch Role Requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, certifications in Health & Safety and familiar with accreditation process Well versed in promoting and embedding company wide Health & Safety culture Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of a business Solid experience leading and developing HR best practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Pragmatic and solutions focussed At Parks, they pride themselves on looking after their people, providing a good work culture and competitive remuneration.
