About the Role – Human Resource Consultant
We have a permanent position available within the Pumanawa Tangata / Human Resources team.
Key Responsibilities: Staff Support: Consult with staff on HR needs, provide advice, and develop tailored strategies. Recruitment: Assist with job descriptions, ads, interviews, contracts, and onboarding. Employee Relations: Manage conflicts, disciplinary actions, and grievances while promoting a positive work environment. Performance Management: Create performance systems, set goals, and handle appraisals. Compliance: Ensure adherence to NZ employment laws and assist in policy development. Organisational Development: Support change initiatives and enhance organisational effectiveness. Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential staff records. We are seeking a Human Resources Consultant who: Embraces a whanau-first, tikanga-based wellbeing approach. Holds a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or has 3+ years of HR consulting experience. Possesses strong knowledge of New Zealand employment laws and regulations. Can handle sensitive information with discretion and demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. Provides evidence of full Covid-19 vaccination, holds a full driver's licence, and has proof of the right to work in New Zealand for at least one year.
