Hr Associate Manager

Will coordinate a range of Human Resource functions, including people engagement, healthand safety practices, performance management and related documentation.A key focus of this role will be creating strong people processes and building an effectiveworkplace culture that is people focused through the analysis of business needs, retentionpractices and people practicesRespond effectively to queries from managers & staff about a variety of HR activities in atimely manner.Guide, assist and communicate with business units on the usage of the HR systems,providing an effective first level of service.Interact and manage Union engagement onsite and ensure we are meeting all compliancesGovern and update health and safety standards and requirements as per legislativerequirementsDeveloping the HR agenda.Developing HR strategies, policies, and practices.Improving and monitoring employee productivity.Structuring compensation and benefit packages.Managing staff wellness initiatives.Improving relations between staff and employers.Evaluating staffing needs.Managing and allocating HR funds.Engaging with heads of department.Skills and Experience:Hands on approach with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to developrelationships across all levels of the business.Sound decision making skills, a dynamic approach to new challenges and a passion forbuilding process. Have experience creating innovative people solutions.A high level of emotional intelligence, initiative and the drive to thrive in an environmentwhere no two days are the same.Excellent understanding of NZ employment laws, health and occupational safetyrequirements and stakeholder management.Experience in interaction with Unions and working with them on issues and drawing outsolutionsHigh level/advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, detail orientated, the ability to workin a fast-paced environment and produce high volumes of work.Ability to coach first level leadership and stakeholders through critical people managementissues and provide guidance through disciplinary investigations and day to day peoplemanagementExperience in managing payroll as per NZ standards.
