Due to an internal change we are looking for a talented people person to lead across the full spectrum of generalist HR.
Key functions and responsibilities: Providing expert advice and implementing best-practice and fit for purpose HR strategies and projects that engage and retain top talentDeveloping and maintaining HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulation, and staying up to date with these areasIdentifying talent needs, recruiting and leading the onboarding of new team membersLeading individual and organisational development initiatives Managing performance processes in alignment with our business goalsLeading our health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and managing our HSW planLeading remuneration and recognition processes and initiativesMaintaining employee data, managing employment agreements and changesFostering a culture of healthy high-performance You will need to have: Five plus years' generalist HR experience, ideally with some having been in a professional services settingA tertiary qualification in HR or a closely related practiceStrong understanding of employment legislation, and the interface with payroll law and practiceA client service aptitude with an ability to build strong working relationshipsA can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in where neededExcellent written and verbal communications skillsA high level of comfort with the use of technology and interest in continuous learning The ability to travel to other offices, including occasionally overnight (you can check out all of our locations on our website at www.mitchelldaysh.co.nz)Ours is a fast paced and dynamic environment, working with a passionate and talented national team. This is a primarily office based role, with flexibility, and can be based in either our Auckland or Dunedin office.
