About The Role Our HR Advisor role is a critical role within our Advisory Team, reporting to the Manager HR Advisory Services.
The HR Advisor will work across the Civil Aviation Authority and AvSec, and have a primary focus on working with, and supporting our Advisory function in delivering high-quality HR advice, support, services and solutions to the managers.
A typical day may include: Providing timely, accurate, best practice services, advice and support to managers across a broad range of HR matters.
Advising managers in the delivery of their obligations relating to employment-related legislation and Authority people policy and employment agreements.
Contribute as a project team member to a wide range of projects focused on the development of new initiatives and programmes.
Our Advisory Services function is fast-paced and delivery focused.
We have a unique focus on a high level of service and support to managers, enabling managers to devote their time to effectively leading and managing their people.
This is a permanent position located in Christchurch offering a salary band ranging from $83,600 to $116,327 with a mid-range being $102,302.
Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role and relativities across the organisation.
What You'll Bring We're looking for an HR Generalist who can relate to our values and our organisation's purpose to provide a safe aviation system.
The ideal candidate will need to be a good communicator, be able to learn quickly and have a positive can-do attitude, plus have the capability and experience to build strong relationships.
You will have knowledge of HR best practices across the full range of HR functions and ability to apply that knowledge to a business environment.
Ideally, you will understand New Zealand employment law and ability to provide guidance and advice to managers in the organisation.
You will be customer-oriented and a problem solver with the ability to consider various perspectives, utilising a combination of expertise and strong relationships.
