Are you looking for a wide variety of HR exposure? We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive new team based at our regional support office in Pitt St, Central Auckland.
Your positive attitude, ability to prioritise and meet business deadlines, along with your high attention to detail will be the key to your success in this role as you'll be the go-to person for all things HR, keeping things organised and running smoothly.
This is a fast paced role with a high volume of admin work so a minimum of 2 years HR administration experience in New Zealand with a broad understanding of NZ employment legislation is a must.
What will you be doing day to day? Managing the HR inbox; responding to queries and triaging HR issues. End to end recruitment support including maintenance of employee files. Coordinating the police vet process for current and new staff. Completing employee lifecycle paperwork and audits for all new starters. HR reporting; fortnightly and monthly reporting requirements. Payroll support; entering new employees, making changes to employees and processing terminations in the payroll system. General L&D and HR admin work with opportunities for upskilling and constant learning. Assisting with exciting HR initiatives and projects. This role will suit you if you are a positive, proactive and organised person who is interested in building your HR Generalist career within a not-for-profit organisation. We want someone who can show initiative, make suggestions for improvements and is ready to hit the ground running! What experience/skills do you need? Minimum 2 years HR administration experience in New Zealand with a broad understanding of NZ employment legislation. Exceptionally high attention to detail. Positive, motivated and highly organised. Ability to prioritise and effectively manage expectations and meet business deadlines. Demonstrated ability to apply discretion, judgement and maintain confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with clear spoken/written English. Experience with ichris payroll software would be an advantage.
