That includes being a trusted partner for Maori and iwi, protecting and enabling their rights, interests and aspirations under the guidance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Ko ta matou mahi - Our RoleAs a Housing Support Manager, you will work directly with a portfolio of our customers and their whanau, building enriching and enduring relationships to ensure customers' housing and wellbeing needs are being met and continue to be met as they change over time. You will visit our customers at their Kainga Ora homes and, from time to time, attend meetings with key stakeholders to ensure tailored support and services stay in place for our customers and their whanau. You will work as part of a local team who take a holistic approach to support our tenants to have good access to jobs, amenities and services, and to thrive within their communities.Nga pumanawatanga ou - What you will bringExperience building and enriching customer relationships, with strong empathetic skills to connect with customers with a range of needs; this may include working in health or social services.Experience in deescalating highly emotional situations and conversations.Focused strength-based conversation skills to support customers shape and develop their thinking on their wellbeing priorities and next steps.Good observational and analytical skills that can be applied to practical situations, without applying bias to those observations.Cultural awareness to align approach to our customers' aspirations and preferences, particularly in working with Maori and Pasifika.Self-managing with good planning and time management skills to prioritise portfolio needs.High emotional intelligence and a calm demeanour.Ability to manage professional boundaries, show good ethical judgement, and to apply policies.As this role requires travelling you will need a full, current NZ driver's license (vehicle provided).Nou te rourou - What's in it for you?Competitive salary5 weeks annual leavePlus, Kiwi saver on top of salaryInsurance benefits, including medical, income protection and trauma/life.Flexible working arrangementsCareer development and study opportunitiesThese benefits are described in more detail here.O Tatou Uara - Our ValuesOur values were developed by us, for us.
