JOB TITLE: Housing Damp & Disrepair Surveyor

The Employer:
We are recruiting 1 individual for the position of Property Condition & Disrepair Surveyor , within a housing environment. The client is a non-profit, charitable registered provider of social and affordable housing throughout Cornwall. The Role:
Assist with the programming of works and allocate resources to conflicting priorities to maintain a high level of performance across the organisation.
Work under the guidance of the Senior Property Services Manager in coordinating the service.
Undertake surveys where there is or has been a complaint of damp and mould or disrepair.
Make recommendations for appropriate remedial works.
Be the first point of contact where problems and issues arise and take responsibility to resolve them with operational staff.
Assist with introducing, monitoring and maintaining KPIs that reflect tenants' needs.
The Candidate:
Experience of supporting an organisation within a role of total prevention and care of damp and mould and disrepair in properties.
Experience of carrying out building surveys in tenants' homes and knowledge to identify remediating causes of damp and mould within properties.
Experience of coordinating internal and external contractors to ensure works are carried out and understanding of current disrepair legislation.
Educated to A Level Grade A-C or equivalent Level 3 qualification and must have a HNC in Building Construction or equivalent.
A Diploma in surveying practice and a qualification in domestic energy assessor is desirable but not essential.

37 HOUR WEEK.
Due to the nature of the role, it does require the successful candidate to already hold or be happy to take part in a Basic DBS check.
