About The Role - Te mahi We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team of room attendants and ensure we provide excellent customer service.
Housekeeping Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members and checking private and public areas for cleanliness.
To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities.
You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.
Ultimately, you will help ensure our daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and that guests are satisfied.
This is a permanent, full-time role based at Sudima Queenstown Five Mile.
The rate is $28 - $29 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks.Oversee staff on a daily basis.Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness.Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards.Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.Respond to customer complaints and special requests.Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock.Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.Assist the room attendants when required.About you | Ko koe tenei Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations.Excellent organizational and team management skills.Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job.Proven ability in leading a team.Assist with training and developing the team to achieve hotel standards.A high level of organisation, time management and problem-solving skills.We are looking for someone who is flexible with their availability – to be successful, you will need to be able to work a typical hospitality roster and that means covering all shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.He kura te tangata - We are all valued As an employer of choice, we offer great employee benefits like life insurance, outstanding health and wellbeing programmes and discounts on hotels, restaurants, bars and spas across our network - not just for you, but in some cases your friends and family too!
