This is a rare and fantastic opportunity for a professional, motivated and passionate individual to step up and take daily charge of our wonderful Housekeeping team. We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic and energetic leader to deliver timely cleaning, staff training and development, thorough inspections and consistently high standards.
About the Role You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department, delivering timely cleaning, thorough inspections and consistent high standards. In addition, you will be responsible for:
Recruitment Maintaining high standard of suites and public areas Leadership of the Housekeeping Team Management of an on-site laundry operation Health & safety (including chemical registers) Departmental financial controls (forecasting, budget preparation, labour and supplies) About you The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, show initiative and have great time management. Financial acumen, reporting, computer skills, rostering and ability to place orders based on inventory needs are also essential. Candidates should have previous Housekeeping Management experience at a luxury hotel or lodge, a proven record of training and developing strong housekeeping teams and evidence of an uncompromising attention to detail. In addition, you will have:
A passion for service delivery in the hospitality industry A minimum of 3 years relevant experience (Senior Housekeeping / Hospitality) Relevant tertiary level qualifications Ability to train and grow a team of mixed skill levels Knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems Strong and effective communication skills Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environment Exceptional organisational skills What we offer We offer competitive wages, delicious staff lunches and access to our Staff Perks Programme with a wide range of discounts and deals with our suppliers and partners.
